Railbreak DX is a glorious love letter to the arcade light-gun shooter, combining ridiculous B-movie horror, spectacular zombie gore and modern Unreal Engine 5 visuals with wonderfully simple pick-up-and-play action. Add in a huge survivor roster, multiple modes and excellent two-player co-op, and this is one arcade revival that deserves another credit.

John Carpenter's Toxic Commando: Cosmetic Pack 2 may not introduce a single new enemy to shoot, but it adds plenty of personality to the ones already waiting for you. With grotesque mutant outfits, skeletal weapons, corrupted vehicles and a gloriously irritating horn, it is a cosmetic collection that understands exactly what makes Toxic Commando so much fun.

Zombie Arise is a raw, unapologetically old-school zombie shooter that captures the unforgiving spirit of 1990s FPS games while retaining some of their rougher edges. Scarce ammunition, dangerous runners and lengthy levels create genuine tension, but technical problems and a lack of checkpoints make this a difficult trip back to the past.

Infection Free Zone turns the familiar into something frightening, transforming real-world cities into desperate survival zones where every building could contain vital supplies and every night could bring a devastating horde. Its rough edges occasionally show, but the combination of colony management, tactical defence and genuine personal connection makes this a uniquely compelling take on the post-apocalyptic strategy genre.

Ghetto Zombies: Graffiti Squad is a wonderfully daft zombie shooter packed with mutant heroes, ridiculous weapons, colourful graffiti and some of the strangest undead creatures you are likely to encounter. Its repetitive objectives and occasional reload frustrations hold it back from greatness, but the vibrant presentation, satisfying shooting and infectious sense of humour make it a thoroughly enjoyable, retro-inspired blast.

Yet Another Zombie Survivors takes the familiar horde-survival formula and gives it a welcome squad-based twist. Its automatic combat keeps the controls accessible, while deep character combinations and permanent progression provide plenty of reasons to return for another run.
