Console Archives Rhapsody II: Ballad of the Little Princess is a wonderfully colourful trip back to the 32-bit era, blending tactical battles, magical puppets, musical storytelling and a genuinely lovable heroine into a JRPG that wears its heart on its sleeve.

Onimusha: Dawn of Dreams is a spectacular, forgotten gem that expands Capcom's samurai series into a surprisingly deep action RPG. With superb swordplay, satisfying soul harvesting, a memorable ensemble and an atmospheric, supernatural version of feudal Japan, this PS2 classic still has plenty of fight left in it.

Love Spell: Written In The Stars (Starlight Edition) is a charming romantic comedy that blends magical mishaps, heartfelt relationships and unapologetically terrible penguin humour into a wonderfully warm otome adventure. With four distinct romance routes, beautiful artwork and plenty of reasons to replay Luna's story, it may not reinvent the visual novel, but it casts a surprisingly lovely spell of its own.

Kawaii Anime: Cute Girls Magic World is a charming, relaxing puzzle experience that blends colourful magical girl artwork with accessible challenges, score-based progression and a steadily expanding gallery. It lacks the mechanical depth to become a truly essential puzzle title, but its cheerful presentation, character reactions and hidden surprises make it an enjoyable little escape for anime fans seeking something light and easygoing.

Duskfade is a heartfelt love letter to the golden age of 3D action platformers, blending gorgeous clockwork worlds, fluid movement and a surprisingly touching coming-of-age story. A few technical hiccups and tedious collectible hunting keep it from perfection, but Zirian and Cuckoo's adventure has enough charm and personality to make this nostalgic journey well worth taking.

Akatori blends classic Metroidvania exploration with fluid, staff-based combat, gorgeous pixel art and a mysterious story about corrupted worlds, amber crystals and a young monk seeking answers. It may not reinvent the genre, but its personality, atmosphere and satisfying exploration make Mako's journey well worth taking.

The Lord of the Rings: War in the North – Legacy Edition proves there are still stories worth telling beyond the Fellowship's famous journey. With visceral combat, three distinct heroes, satisfying RPG progression and excellent co-op, this darker corner of Middle-earth makes a welcome return.
